The priciest East Moriches home sold in August was a 4-bedroom, 3.55-bath Victorian on 1.1 acres at 11B East Moriches Blvd. that sold for $880,000. It was listed and sold by Peter Traina of Moriches Bay Realty.

The three highest-priced home sales in Jamesport last month ranged from $650,000 to $1.5 million. The priciest Jamesport home sold in September was a 3-bedroom, 3-5 bath post-modern on 5.05 acres at 555 Sound Shore Road that sold for $1.5 million. It was listed and sold by Susan Fallon of Island Polo Realty.

Reliance purchases Hauppauge building

Myra Properties, a division of telecom company Reliance Communications, has bought a 69,863-square-foot building at 555 Wireless Blvd. in Hauppauge for $8 million. Reliance had been leasing the building. In order to take advantage of a 1031 tax-free exchange, Reliance sold an 118,042-square-foot building at 350 Wireless Blvd., which it owned but had not yet occupied. Pharmaceutical manufacturer A&Z Pharmaceutical purchased that building for $12.6 million to expand its operations—as reported by LIBN in September. A&Z secured nearly $1.7 million in tax concessions from the Suffolk County Industrial Development Agency after agreeing to expand by 30 employees over the next two years.

Polo developers submit $37.7M bid for EPCAL

Argentine polo developers have submitted a written offer of $37.7 million for 755 acres at the Enterprise Park at Calverton, according to a real estate broker representing the group. The acreage was slated for purchase by Riverhead Resorts for $108 million, but they couldn’t come up with financing to close the deal. Resorts had planned a theme park around an indoor ski mountain.
